Recommended Usage
In general, it’s best to use a contrast therapy ratio of one minute of cold for every three to four minutes of heat. Repeat the alternation between hot and cold approximately three times or until the time is up. Beginning and ending with an ice bath is recommended to quell inflammation. Also, it is recommended not to shower after to maximize how long you will feel the effects.

It’s always important to be cautious with the hot sauna/inflammation. The hot/cold experience is not for everyone; it’s not recommended for those who are prone to high blood pressure as extreme temperature changes may be shocking to the system. When it comes to the cold plunge, experts recommend a momentary plunge and a buildup of minutes in the cold water over time. Like anything health-related, the hot and cold technique should be discussed with a doctor, particularly if there are outstanding health issues.
