Chris Jones

Christopher Lawrence Jones is the author of Vielwalker and Floatosophy, and the founder of Synergy Float Center in Alexandria, Virginia, as well as Synergy Float Spa on Florida’s Space Coast. A service-disabled veteran, he served as an officer for more than twenty-four years across the Army, Air Force, and Navy—walking many worlds long before he ever stepped into the mystical.

A long-time resident of Old Town Alexandria and Satellite Beach, Chris often felt slightly out of rhythm with the cultures around him. Even through years of military discipline, structure, and service, a quiet knowing followed him—an intuition that something more existed just beyond the edge of ordinary sight.

After retiring from the military, he traveled to Peru seeking clarity about his next chapter. There, in the stillness of the mountains and the depth of ceremony, the veil thinned. Floatation therapy, and the possibility of seeing beyond the physical world, was revealed to him with unmistakable clarity.

Upon returning home, Chris began exploring these revelations firsthand. While working as a government contractor, he purchased a Zen Float Tent and set it up inside his home. Floating became a personal ritual, a doorway. Inside those silent waters, he began to Vielwalk—healing himself, reconnecting with the cosmos, and rediscovering the ancient inner pathways he had always sensed but never understood.

The more he floated, the stronger the calling grew. The universe nudged. Synchronicities formed. And eventually, he left his government career to open centers dedicated to bringing floatation therapy and its transformative potential to others.

Floating changed his life in ways both profound and practical. He discovered that each float session elevates human consciousness for days at a time, softening us, opening us, reminding us of who we are beneath the noise. Sharing this gift became a mission rooted in service, healing, and remembrance.

Today, through his writing and his float centers, Chris bridges the worlds of service and spirit, structure and mysticism, Earth and the unseen, guiding others to step through the veil and explore the luminous depths that await.
